Recent Updates Overview

In the past few months, we've added a number of features to the Notarize API.

Signing Designations (Beta)

This optional feature allows customers and partners to provide x/y coordinates used to place signing designations (or "tags") on documents. An alternative to other "tagging" methods, this feature requires more up-front dev work, but greatly improves the speed and accuracy of each individual transaction.
Signing Designations are available on the Add Documents endpoints of both the Business and Real Estate APIs. Signing Designations cannot be used on the Create Transaction endpoints.
Transactions sent without Signing Designations will still be tagged using the method otherwise implemented on your account.
Read about Signing Designations in the Appendix or Reference Guide

Authorization Header

This optional feature allows customers and partners to send documents to Notarize via secure resource URL. You may have documents hosted on a server that requires an authorization key. In this case, pass the parameter name and value to Notarize so that we can include it in our request to the hosting server to retrieve documents.
Authorization Header is available on both the Add Documents and Create Transactions endpoints of both the Business and Real Estate APIs.
Documents sent without an Authorization Header must be openly available by URL or sent in Base 64.

Audit Trail URL

This value gives customers and partners access an audit trail document describing the application of signatures to the entire bundle of documents included in a transaction.
You'll find this value in the body response from the Retrieve Transaction endpoint on both the Business and Real Estate API.

Create Partner Organization (Enterprise Only)

This endpoint gives Enterprise Customers the ability to create a subsidiary organization (i.e. "child org").
This endpoint is available for both the Business and Real Estate API.
